Here is a definition of dubstep according to our good friend, Joe Nice,
the stateside’s #1 selector [dj], of the dubstep sound:
Deep in the heart of South London’s underground lies a sound that percolates
in the streets and vibrates the speakers…dubstep is the soundtrack.
A vibe that rests on the edge of relaxation and explosion, that flourishes
in the middle ground of the comfortable sounds of soulful house and the unbridled energy of drum & bass…..
Music made in London — forged from multicultural influences, syncopated rhythms and loads of bass.
Don’t know what exactly GRITSY is?
GRITSY, the party that first brought the dubstep sound to H-town, is just a straight up PARTY
with some wonderful peoples, great djs/selectors, and a soundsystem that’ll make your body SHAKE
with some serious BASS!
It’s only getting bigger & better, so if you haven’t joined Houston’s infamous dubstep
party and movement yet…
